Carnivorous Bell - Bronze Allegory Tape (Human Headstone) (6 euro)
Strange and
unsettling hardcore punk from Philly with the (former?) singer of Latisha's Skull Drawing. Eight songs clocking un just under half an hour, which makes this more of an Ep than a demo. The guitar sound is shrill and has an almost garage feel. Interesting choice. Repetitive riff patterns like mid-era Flag coming from the six string. Carnivorous Bells are doing something different, which is a good thing. Aesthetically this wouldn't be out of
place on Youth Attack! Records, but Carnivorous Bells' style is more adventurous. The band just released a 12", which I'll try to stock later this year.
GAZ - Demo 2019 (Self Released) (5 euro)
New hardcore
outfit with Golnar Nikpour on vocals. Urgent hardcore punk with a clear nod to
the 1980's without being a throwback act. Golnar's also In School's drummer,
released the first Sex Vid Ep and has released two excellent art punk records
on Square One Again records, which I mention to make the point she's got taste
and a track record.

room recordings of this Atlanta punk powerhouse.
These recordings weren't originally meant for release, but the group liked the way the turned out and released them in a limited number on Scavenger of Death Records.
Some new material, some different takes on songs you might already know and an
allround enjoyable listen to still some of the hunger for that upcoming Lp.

Gun in my Head Zine (Human Headstone) (6 euro)
This zine is documenting Cold Sweat's short existence. Many consider Cold Sweat one of the best American Hardcore bands of the first decade of this century. This zine is done by Matt Adis, singer of Latisha's Skull Drawing and Carnivorous Bells. He includes drawing in this zine too, but mostly the imagery consists of live pictures of Cold Sweat. Matt is near absent in the writing. He asks the band members interesting questions and let's them talk. It'd would have been cool if he would have included the band's first drummer in this chronicle, but that's a minor point. Shaun, Evan, Nick and Jensen tell their stories. Through them the reader gets an idea of what Cold Sweat was about. If you spin Severed Ties and Blinded as much as yours truly, I don't see a reason not to get a copy of this.
